Does Pavilion cost money to use?
Pavilion is free to public entities. There is no fee to access contract data or use Pavilion.
→
Why are you doing this?
We believe that public servants deserve excellent tools for the critical work they do. And this is motivated by our team’s direct experience in public service. Our founder Mariel Reed was frustrated by how hard it was to find contracts while serving the City of San Francisco. It felt like a losing game of “Go, Fish!” trying to find contracts through emails, calls, websites, and other disparate sources. While all public purchasing data is a matter of public record, not all purchasing data is easy to find, well organized, or readily accessible.
So, we were founded in 2018 to make it easier for public servants to leverage the work of their peers – and help governments procure faster.

Where does the data on Pavilion come from? How often is it updated?
In addition to collecting information that is publicly available from hundreds of public entities across the country, Pavilion partners directly with government agencies, businesses, and cooperative purchasing organizations to add and update data on our platform.
Our contract data is refreshed regularly to keep our information up to date based on data available to us at the time. Is there a contract source you want to see on Pavilion? Let us know at contracts@withpavilion.com.

Why are there missing contract documents for some contracts?
Pavilion encourages all cooperative organizations to share as much information as possible to expedite the search and due diligence process for the buyer. However, sometimes cooperatives decline to share this information except directly with their members. Pavilion can help you request the documents, or you can encourage your cooperative contact to share their documents on Pavilion.

How can I contribute my entity’s contracts?
Sharing your contracts with us will help users from your agency find your own contracts faster – and help other agencies find them too.
How is Pavilion free for public entities? How does Pavilion make money?
It’s free for public entities to use Pavilion, and it’s also free for suppliers to be listed on Pavilion.
Recently, we've started offering suppliers the opportunity to invest in growing their public sector business by opting into a paid experience on our platform called “Pro.” Pro Suppliers get access to features and services on Pavilion that we know matter to public entity buyers. For example, they can share more detailed information about their business, products, and services. This allows you to see more relevant results in searches and get more information about Pro Suppliers up-front.
We also work with each Pro Supplier to make sure they quickly respond to your questions when you message or call them through Pavilion (we aim to get you a response within 24 hours). This allows you to quickly hear back from Pro Suppliers.
